You can get as creative as you like with this, it is very much a personal expression or something you are offering to your community. Perhaps you are part of music/arts group who have been meeting online and would like to perform something online or in person from your front gardens? Maybe you’ve learned to play an instrument or found a new hobby during this time which has helped you and is something that you’d like to present to your friends and neighbours.

Is there someone who has gone above and beyond to support you? Perhaps you could express that in some way. Is there a social or environmental matter that has been brought closer to your heart during this crisis? Have you noticed something different over the past few months, how still things can be and the increase in wildlife, perhaps you could write and recite something or display your photos or a painting.

Maybe the front garden festival is bringing out the gardener in you and you would like to create or draw attention to a display that you’ve been cultivating, perhaps during this time you could do something to help others in your community, helping them to tidy their garden, repair that creaking door, tidying a communal area or another act of kindness. Please be sensible with distancing and don’t move or change anything that belongs to someone else without their permission!
